What:
On Monday, September 12, 2016, Defense News will release its annual Top 100 Defense Companies rankings and analysis. Each year since 1991, Defense News has compiled this annual report ranking the world’s defense industry companies. In addition to the rankings list, Defense News also provides analysis of the changes from previous years’ rankings, impacts on regional and global economies, and overall trends and developments. The team from Defense News has full coverage including print, digital and broadcast features as well as a webcast on Tuesday, September 13.

Who:
Full rankings reporting and analysis is being covered by Defense News Senior Pentagon Correspondent and Associate Editor Aaron Mehta (@AaronMehta); and Executive Editor Jill Aitoro (@FedEdJill). Both are broadcast media experienced and are prepared and ready to speak or appear on any related programming.

Why:
The annual Top 100 rankings provide military and industry leadership around the world with insights and analysis of the effects of procurement, counter terrorism efforts, investments in manufacturing, mergers and acquisitions, and other factors that have shaped the defense industry landscape, moving some companies higher in the rankings and pushing others down. The Defense News multimedia package includes interviews with top industry executives and delves into the procurement trends we’re seeing around the globe and how different regions are influenced by different factors. The list is important and relevant to multiple audience segments from economic, policy, international relations, security and other sectors.
