Defense News’ Team Wins Dornheim Award from National Press Club

VIENNA, V.A., November 16, 2020 – Defense News today announced that a team of reporters made up of Valerie Insinna, Aaron Mehta and David Larter has won the Michael A. Dornheim Award from the National Press Club for their series, “The Hidden Troubles of the F-35.”

Insinna was the lead reporter on the project.

The Michael A. Dornheim Award is presented in honor of the late Michael Dornheim, a longtime reporter and editor at Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine. It is one of the most coveted awards in the annual National Press Club Journalism Awards and is presented annually to journalists who report about aerospace, defense, the airline industry, or aerospace science and engineering. This year’s awardees will be recognized in a virtual ceremony on Dec. 2.
