Military Times Declares February as Black Military History Month

Military Times today marked the inaugural declaration of February as Black Military History Month. This celebration, in the form of a month-long multimedia project, honors the unique contribution and sacrifice of African-Americans in US military history.

“Military Times will tell stories of brave men and women who gave their all, selflessly and often without reward, dating back centuries,” says Tony Lombardo, executive editor of Military Times. “This is a celebration like no other, as we honor African-American service members past and present.”
