VIENNA, VA., September 12, 2019 – Sightline, the parent company behind media brands Defense News and C4ISRNET, announced that several of its journalists are finalists for various award categories at the 2019 Defence Media Awards. The winners will be announced on October 13 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
The Defence Media Awards were established to honor and recognize the work of defense journalists and publishers. At these same awards in 2018, Jen Judson was named the best young journalist, and our European editor Sebastian Sprenger took home the award for best training and simulation submission. In 2019, Sightline Media Group has journalists named as finalists in 7 out of 10 categories covering defense reporting. This is the biggest year, thus far, for Sightline’s business to government group of media brands.
