Federal Times Takes Gold, Silver and More at Azbee Awards

Springfield, VA – Federal Times has won Gold, Silver, and Top 10 recognitions at this year’s Azbee Awards for professional publications. The Federal Times “50 Years of Federal Times, 50 Years of Government Change” campaign has been widely acclaimed and these awards substantiate the quality and depth of the special project.

At the ASBPE national banquet and ceremony on Thursday, July 21, Federal Times was honored with:

  • Gold, National, Microsite/Special Section
  • Silver, National, Government Coverage
  • Top 10 National Finalist, Cross-Platform Excellence

Federal Times also won mid-Atlantic regional gold in both the Microsite/Special Section and Government Coverage categories.

To honor their 50th anniversary, Federal Times published “50 Years of Federal Times, 50 Years of Government Change”, a multi-media campaign that delved into 50 years of government, showcasing the events, people and trends that most impacted how government operates. In all, 17 videos, five galleries, and 23 stories were generated in support of the campaign, filtering to a dedicated microsite. At the heart of the project was a list of the 10 historic events that shaped federal management and structure during the last five decades, as chosen by an advisory board of former federal executives. The campaign, which spurred record-breaking web traffic, also included informative photo galleries, listicles, and commentary and video interviews with federal leaders of today. Reaffirming the significance of the project, President Barack Obama was among the federal executives to contribute. ASBPE’s Azbee Awards of Excellence is a competitive program for business-to-business, trade, association, and professional publications.
